Start Here
Never touched a ninja obstacle? Perfect. This guide covers everything you need to know before stepping on the floor — fundamentals, movements, and how to start training at home.
What to Expect
Here's exactly how your first visit works so you show up confident.
No Experience Needed
You don't need pull-ups, gymnastics, or any prior training. Our Pinnacle progression system will get you your goal/s.
Wear Athletic Clothes
Comfortable, flexible clothing. Closed toe shoes (Rubber bottom shoes). Leave jewelry off the course.
Arrive Early
Give yourself 10–15 minutes before your first class to get signed in, complete your waiver, and meet your coach.
Listen, Then Move
Your coach will walk you through technique before you touch anything.
Core Skills Every Ninja Needs
These six movement foundations cover 80% of what you'll encounter on any ninja course. Master these and you can handle almost anything.
Grip & Hang
The foundation of everything. Learn dead hang technique, active shoulder engagement, and how to build grip endurance safely.
Lache
Generating swing momentum and releasing at the right time. The core skill behind most upper body obstacles.
Jumping & Landing
Controlled takeoffs and safe landings protect your joints and set up your next move. Precision matters more than distance.
Body Control
Core tension, balance, and spatial awareness. Being able to control your body through dynamic movements is what separates good athletes from great ones.
Upper Body Pulling
Pull-up strength, muscle-ups, and rows are the raw fuel for ninja. We build this progressively — no pull-up required to start.
Obstacle Strategy
Every obstacle has an optimal technique. We teach you to read obstacles before you touch them so you solve with your brain first.

Build a Home Rig
You don't need a full course to improve between sessions. A basic home rig — even just a pull-up bar and a few obstacles — can accelerate your progress dramatically.
- →Start with a solid pull-up bar for grip and hang work
- →Add a set of gymnastics rings for strength + body control
- →Simple salmon ladder rungs can be made from 2x4s
- →A pegboard is one of the highest ROI training tools available
- →Budget builds start under $200 — full rigs under $1,000
Our full home rig build guide video is coming to YouTube soon.
